Fresh Picked

This painting was done in encaustics (wax). You heat and melt the colored wax and apply to your surface. Then you use a heat gun to move the paint around and seal the image. Lots of fun! The inspiration for this came from my daughter who sent me a picture of a sunflower in a vase. So pretty I could not resist. This is painting does not need a frame. It is painted on a special surface that has wood on the sides.
