Eagle – linocut

This is an original color reduction linocut. The colors are green, black, orange, yellow and white. After each color is printed that color is carved from the plate. By the end of the process the image on the plate is gone. It is a lengthy process as each color is printed over the previous layer. This image is part of my bird and pattern series. This one is labeled Artist Proof. It is done on high quality printmaking paper with various color inks.
