Swirling Abstract Encaustic

This little treasure measures 6×6 inches and has a 1 inch light wooden side. It is painted using encaustics which are melted wax pigments. I like working in abstract with them as the colors layer so nicely. By using a heat gun I can get the colors to swirl all around. Because it has a 1 inch side this can sit on a shelf or hang on the wall. The original of this painting is currently for sale at The Craft Boutique at Moyer Farmhouse, Chalfont, Pa.
