Introduction to Pastels Workshop 4/28/12

It was a fun afternoon of creativity at The Manayunk Roxborough Art Center for everyone who attended my Introduction To Pastels Workshop on 4/28/12. The students learned about the different types of pastels and papers. Famous Pastel Artists. They did exercises to learn the different ways of using pastels and we finished up with a group abstract pastel painting. Then after I did a demonstration on how I go about starting a pastel painting, the students worked on their own projects with great enthusiasm!

I will be participating in the Ambler's 11th Annual Art Show & Sale at Artman Lutheran Home. Dates of the show are Thursday May 10 9am to 5pm, Friday May 11 9am to 5PM,

Opening night Party 5:30 to 8:30PM Wine and Hors D'Oeuvres, great music, Meet the artists ($10 donation requested for the opening night party) Show continues Saturday May 12 11-3pm and Sunday May 13 noon-3pm

Also I will be at Ambler's Frist Friday events. First one up May 4th 6-9Pm, outside Art In The Store Front, Butler Pike, Ambler, Pa
